The download should begin automatically

Now move on to the next step where we are going to download more required files for the Replay Mod

Step 2 – How to Download the FFmpeg for the Replay Mod

After we download the Replay mod in the previous step, we need to get the FFmpeg to be able to export our recordings in a video file that we can actually see and edit.

Click the button below to be redirected to the download site for FFmpeg.

Once in the FFmpeg download page, scroll down to the content table and click your operating system. For this guide, we are going to use the Windows version.

This will move you to the OS you selected, and just click the green link below your desired OS. In this case, we are going to click the one below Windows.

This will begin the download for the FFmpeg file

Step 3 – How to Install the Replay Mod for Minecraft

After we download all the required files in the previous steps, we are going to now install it all.

Open your Minecraft Launcher and locate your Fabric instance within your installations tab. Open the folder that appears next to it.

Within this folder, we are looking for a folder called “mods”. If the “mods” folder does not exist, go ahead and create it.

Again, make sure you are using Fabric, and that you have the Fabric API as well.

Now, we are going to drop the Replay mod that we downloaded in the first step into the “mods” folder.

Go back out of this folder to the main Minecraft installation directory (the first folder we opened using the launcher)

Drag and drop the content of the FFmpeg zip file. You can also directly extract it if you have WinRAR or equivalent. If you are using Windows 11, you can open the zip file and drag the folder out into the Minecraft directory.

You are now ready to use your Replay mod in Minecraft. There are tons of settings you can mess around with.

If you press ESC, you can Pause or Stop the Recording. You even have an in game editor for the recordings. All that is left is to enjoy the mod.

We hope we were able to help you install the Replay Mod for Minecraft.
