How to Play Palworld with Friends

Before Playing Palworld with Friends

Keep in mind that when playing Palworld with friends, we will need to have an internet connection all the time. If we are the ones who create the world, then once we go offline, our friends will be kicked out of the world. If you want your friends to be able to join your world all the time, then we will need to create or rent a dedicated server.

Guide

Step 1 – Creating a Palworld Multiplayer World

In order for our friends to join us in Palworld, we first need to create a multiplayer world. To do this, click Start Game as if you were to create a normal Single Player world.

Select Create a New World.

Name this World whatever you prefer.

This is the most important step now. You want to change the Multiplayer mode from Off to On.

You can customize the settings now before proceeding.

When you are ready, click “OK”.

Click Yes.

Create your character and make sure you are happy with it because as of today, you won’t be able to change your character later on. However, the developers confirm that in the future, you will be able to re-edit your character after you created it.

Once you are ready, click Start Game.

Now press the ESC key in your keyboard, you should see an Invite Code in your menu as well as a button to copy this code to your Clipboard. Copy this code and send it to the friend you want to have join you.

Step 2 – How to Join your Friends in Palworld

Once the main world is created following the previous step. We are going to use the code to join it.

Launch your game and click Join Multiplayer Game (Invite Code)

Simply copied that code that our friend sent you.

Click Ok to finally join your friends world.

Now create your character and that is it. You will now be able to Join your friend’s game.

Troubleshoot

I tried to join my friend’s world in Palworld, but I keep timing out. (UNet Connection, TIMED OUT, Connection timed out)

The fix we have found for this issue, it is simply to keep trying. Palworld servers are overloaded with players trying to play with friends, all you have to do is keep trying, sometimes it takes a lot of tries to get over the timed out error.

The match you are trying to join is running an incompatible version of the game.

This issue happens because you and your friends have different instances of Palworld. You have to make sure both of you have either the same demo or the same paid version of Palworld. Both of you have to be in the same update as well.

I lost my pals and my level when my friend joined my world.

This happens because you joined a lower guild. To prevent this, you need to have your friends join your guild instead. We recommend joining the guild of whoever has the highest level. As of right now, there is no way of getting your progress back after you lost it.
